When you live or spend the majority of your summer on the lake, you tend to refer to people you know from the lake by their boat. True fact. Our boat has a custom boat horn that plays the ” dukes of Hazzard car horn song ” yep . That’s right. So we were out and ran into the someone from the lake and knew them only by their ” Black Mastercraft”. And they said sweet horn 😂 Still don’t know their first names tho.

But that’s also true with pets. Why do we always remember someone’s dogs name but not there’s. Lol
Yes , we are dog lovers ❤. My dog was a little yorkiepoo named Buttercup, Butters, Butsy, mostly she was called Buts. Best dog I ever had. I swear she was part squirrel. If the kids put a ball in the tree she would climb up to get it. She could play soccer like no other dog I’ve seen, if u threw her a toy she would not go away and would sit in front of you with her tongue and tail shaking. Yes, she probably need some sort of anxiety medication, but she was one of a kind.
She also hated the month of July. FIREWORKS 💥
Omg 😲! She would hide. And the spots she picked were very tricky. One time she went under my parents deck. When I say under, I mean way, way under. We didn’t know she had went there. But a firework 💥 Went off and she went missing. We looked for her for hours. To the point where crying was involved. Then someone in the search party spotted her little ear after shining a flashlight thru the deck. She was basically scared and was trembling and we couldn’t coax her to come out. So my poor dad pretty much disassembled his deck to save Buts❤❤❤
SAVE BUTTS, DISASSEMBLE A DECK💥💥💥💥
😢she passed away after 10 years with us. Saddest day of our life.
I always had dogs growing up. Back when my kids were little, they didn’t get a dog until ashley came home from kindergarten and told me that they divided the children up and what kind of pets they had . And she was in the NO Pet group😱
Went out that night came back with a bird 🐦
Told her to tell the teacher to switch her group.
How DARE they put my child in the NO pet group ( which only had 1 other student)
After that we just about had every pet imagined, while the kids grew up.
Shadow ( Siberian husky)
Thurston ( a golden retriever)
Butts ( a princess yorkiepoo)
Currently: ranger ( a Brittany spaniel)
Heni ( yorkiepoo)
A bunny : trixie ( named after the rabbit cereal)
A gecko : T-Rex ( super cool , but super creepy) Bird: Tweety
Fish: lots of fish 🐟
OMG! I ALMOST FORGOT…….SPIKE (WHITE MALTESE, MY KIDS FATHERS DOG) HERES A STORY FOR YOU….THEIR DAD HIRED ASHLEY TO WATCH HIS DOG WHEN SHE WAS 16. SHE DECIDED TO JUST BRING THE DOG TO OUR HOUSE. HE NEVER LEFT , ALL SUMMER. WE CALLED HIM THE GUEST OF HONOR. HE SPENT HOLIDAYS AND SUMMER BIRTHDAYS WITH US, WE EVEN GOT HIM GROOMED, TAUGHT HIM TO SWIM, HE WAS SUPER CUTE. SUMMER ENDED AND IT WAS BACK TO SCHOOL. TIME FOR THE GUEST OF HONOR TO GO BACK TO HIS HOME. HE WAS MISSED , BUT REALLY ????
When my oldest son moved out, he practically had a farm , goats ( soooo cute) , and cooper the pig. He brought cooper over to swim in the lake one day and he loved it. Now he has kids ( those ” blondes” I talk about) and a wife. No pigs or goats . But a huge Newfoundland dog named Lacey. Yes , she’s huge. I call her horsedog, because if your driving by it looks like a horse in there yard. Lacey is a beautiful dog tho.
